July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 9:30-Noon On July 11, 18, 25, and August 1 all children from preschool through rising 4th graders are invited to join the fun as favorite Bible stories come to life through music, games, crafts and treats.Cost - $10 per child per session, $30 for all 4 sessions; $15 per family, $45 for all 4 sessions. Vale is also seeking adult and youth volunteers (can use for service hours) to help organize these fun mornings. Monthly Acoustic Jam-Sing on Thursday, June 8th
Our next community acoustic jam-sing will be on Thursday, June 8th from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We're an informal meet-up of musicians and singers of different abilities; beginners are very welcome! If you play guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, accordion, cajun, bongos (or other small drums), fiddle, ukulele, etc. -- we want you! We provide binders with song sheets (folk, pop/rock, country, gospel, bluegrass, etc.). Feel free to bring additional song sheets, or just tell us the key, play the melody and teach us the words; we'll catch on. See you on the 8th! Sgt. The performance is on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 8:00 pm, at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap, 1551 Trap Road, Vienna, VA 22182. Please let Ed Lowry (or the Vale Office) know by May 21 if you would like tickets. Tickets are $30; make checks payable to Vale UMC and note “UMM, Wolf Trap ticket” on the memo line. Messgage from Pastor Jeff
Vale UMC is a small but very active congregation. We have mission activities that are making an impact in the local as well as global communities. We have fellowship time together, formative Christian activities on Sunday and during the week. Our children and youth programs engage the kids - they are excited to be a part of the Vale family. Our worship includes traditional and contemporary styles - come join us!
