The youth meet Sunday evenings at Vale United Methodist Church. We offer youth group to junior high and senior high grades 7th through 12th. Our weekly meetings are split into four rotating activities. Those activities are a bible study, discussion night, fun night, and outreach activities. Please join us on Sundays! Junior High
Junior High UMYF is for students in 7th and 8th grades. We meet on Sundays from 4:00pm - 5:15pm.

Senior High
Senior High UMYF is for students in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. We meet on Sundays from 5:15pm - 6:30pm.

Here are the Activities we offer:

Bible Boot Camp - Have you ever heard of the Gospel according to the Simpson's? What about the Bible vs. Britney and Your Bourn Ultimatum? Come discover what the Bible has to do with these topics.

All Hands on Deck - We have teamed up with T.O.P. Teens. Teens Opposing Poverty lets our youth give back to the community and our congregation. We deliver food and supplies to homeless people in our area. More importantly, we offer an ear to listen and genuine conversation. Come try this life changing experience.

Yakety Yak, DO Talk Back - Come talk about what is on your mind! Either participate in the conversation or sit back and hear what people have to say. We talk about school issues and things going on in the world.

The Ultimate Variety Night - Do you need a night where you can relax and just be a kid? If you like ridiculous relays, fear factor food eating contests and freeze dancing, come check us out!

Youth Council
We have a governing body of youth at Vale. It is their duty to be the voice of the youth. As a whole, all the youth decide what the focus for Junior and Senior Youth should be and they help plan events for the year. A participant of the youth council can attend the Church Council meetings throughout the year to report on what the youth are doing. Sponsors make youth group happen. They are the adults that help keep things running smoothly and regularly attend youth group events/meetings. If you are a parent, an adult of the church or simply interested in working with the youth, contact Monica Barricks at Monica.valeumc@verizon.net. All help is welcome and the youth would love a wide variety of people in their lives.
