About the Vale Church Christmas Tree Sale
The tree sale is a primary fundraiser for one of Vale Church’s core missions: fighting hunger near and far. We are partnering for the seventh straight year with global relief organization Rise Against Hunger www.riseagainsthunger.org, (formerly Stop Hunger Now) which distributes food to hungry children and others around the world, often in the wake of disasters. Our goal this year is to fund and package 75,000 meals through our tree sale proceeds. Sales this year will also go towards addressing hunger in some local Fairfax County elementary schools. That packing event will take place on Sunday, January 20th, 2019.
The impact of this effort is real and tangible: Each tree purchase (on average) will provide 100 life-saving meals for hungry children and families.
