Be a Star ... Help Fight Hunger, Homelessness & Poverty in Our Community
The funds raised through our annual Auction for Local Missions enable Vale United Methodist Church to actively support thousands of individuals and hundreds of families in need in our community.
Our local mission work benefits those who are homeless, senior citizens, local residents who require food assistance, lower income families in need of help, young people in need of crisis intervention services, women living in emergency shelters, and others in need within our local community.
6 Ways You Can Help Make a Difference
1) Donate an Item, Service or Event – Here are a few ideas for starters ... Summer/Winter Homes, Timeshares, Sports Tickets, Sports Memorabilia, Hotel/B&B Getaways, Golf Outings, Cruises, Restaurants, Movie/Theater Tickets, Home Services, Music Lessons, Pictures/Paintings, Pet Supplies, Salons/Spas, Automotive, Florists, Baked Goods, Books, Jewelry, Art Work, etc. 2) Become an Auction Sponsor - Choose from four sponsorship levels, each of which comes with an ad (of varying sizes, based on level) in our printed auction program, as well as promotion on the Vale UMC website.
3) Promote the Auction - Help us spread the word by downloading our flyer (at left) and posting it within your business, organization, and/or local community. Or if you have another creative idea for promoting the event, let us know!
4) Recommend a Donor/Sponsor - If you know a local merchant that might be interested in making a donation or becoming a sponsor, let us know and we will follow up!
5) Join Our Auction Committee - This is a volunteer-driven event and many hands make light work. If you have time or talents to share, we would love to have you on the team! 6) Come Out on Auction Night (Oct 25) - We hope to see you at this worthwhile event, which--in addition to featuring some fabulous auction items and fun entertainment--will make a difference in the lives of so many in our community!
